We hope that you will find the information helpful and see how your partnership can make a difference in what we can do and how much we can accomplish. Together we can make a difference in the lives of many people. Thank you for your support!
A Vision to TRAIN
Our primary vision is to see many more young people come and train for ministry in Vanuatu. Our primary campus is the Joy Bible Institute (JBI) located in the capital city of Port Vila. The school opened its doors in March 1981 and has trained the majority of ministers and church workers for the Assemblies of God of Vanuatu. But the task is not yet finished and a new generation of men and women must be trained and equipped for the ministry ahead of them.
A Vision to EQUIP
Our vision is to equip a new generation to reach out and make a difference in the lives of others, to help them be better prepared to teach the Word of God and disciple new believers. We desire to build a school library and update the school’s curriculum to provide the best training possible at JBI. We cannot do this alone. We need people who will partner with us to renovate the old campus buildings, help build a library and new classrooms and provide funds for basic furnishings.
A Vision to REACH OUT
Our vision is to reach out and go beyond the current capabilities of Joy Bible Institute. The country of Vanuatu is facing new economic and political challenges. The church is also facing new challenges and we must reevaluate what we do and how we do it. Our goal is to reach more people and do this more effectively. We also want to be sensitive to the population’s needs for education, basic health services and development.
A Vision to ASSIST
We want to assist whenever possible church leaders in the establishment of schools and health projects which will assist island and village communities. We also believe firmly in the power of the printed page and the need for more materials in the local languages.
A Vision to SERVE
Our vision is to serve the church with our primary talents and to be resource people in other areas. Gary serves as Academic Dean and teacher at JBI. He enjoys preaching and teaching. Lori enjoys teaching and creating printed materials. She publishes for the school and also a regional Christian family magazine in French.
